Topic: Riverside & Ward 4 issues

"Riverside businessman Paul M. Davis has announced that he will seek election to the Riverside City Council, Ward 4. Davis moved to Riverside from Phoenix, Arizona, in 1977 and graduated from Poly High School in Riverside. Davis attended Riverside Community College and studied business management and economics at the University of Phoenix. Davis has worked as a Riverside County Sheriff, Riverside Police officer, district manager for Fidelity Financial Services and a divisional manager for Nations Bank.

Paul Davis lives in the Hillcrest area of Riverside with his family. Paul and his wife currently own and operate 'Nations Rent to Own' on Magnolia Avenue in Riverside and a second store on Alessandro Boulevard in Moreno Valley. Davis has been an assistant Little League coach and currently coaches Pony Baseball.

Davis is president of the California Association of Progressive Rental Organizations and federal lobbyist for the rent to own industry. Davis is a member of the Arlington Business Partnership Board of Directors, the Greater Riverside Chamber of Commerce, the Moreno Valley Black Chamber of Commerce, and the Sierra Club.

Paul Davis said "This is a non-partisan race and I will represent all of the people of Ward 4 if they decide to elect me. I am not bound by any party politics or special interests and will work to be fair and compassionate to all of our citizens."

Paul and his family enjoy living in Riverside but agree that there are many challenges facing our beautiful city. Davis is committed to work to improve the quality of life for all residents of Ward 4. Davis will focus on fiscal responsibility so that we can maintain public safety levels and attract more good high end jobs to the city to get residents off the freeways and free them from long commutes to neighboring counties. Davis welcomes input from all of the residents of Ward 4 and is a strong proponent of open government and believes that all citizens should have a voice at City Hall."
